| There are some things on the Internet that are kind of like real life - if you've said something hurtful, even if you thought it was a throwaway comment, you've said something hurtful.
I admit that I've deleted a few posts because I later became embarrassed/mortified by what I said (either through my own realization or - and I hope that it was just one occasion - a commenter pointing out that I said something hurtful). I'm sorry that I did that - I was too much of a coward to leave it as is, so I deleted it. I'm trying to think before I post, so that'll never happen again.
So - if I ever said anything that offended and hurt anyone, I'm sorry. I'll try to be more careful about what I say in comments/posts from now on.

That's a bit odd for me to answer, seeing as I have a different definition of 'soulmate' than the traditional "one-true-love, significant other" definition. Soulmates are the people that love you even when you feel unloveable, the people that trust you even if you feel like you don't deserve it, the people that seem to know you better than you know yourself. They love you as you are but try to help you become better because they think you deserve better. You laugh with them, create with them...You want them to be with you forever because they enrich your life and you hope that you enrich theirs.
Significant others can be soulmates, of course. So can parents, siblings, friends...Soulmates are family, even if they're not family by blood or by law.

| I've just had a Transformers bunny sneak in through the back door. It's attempting to explain the multiverse. Bunny has a very good plot point.

| Well, the month of September is coming to a close, which means that it is about one more month 'til November, which means...
Nanowrimo.
Yeah, last year was the first year I signed up, and I...didn't do so well :( Barely cleared 8000. Will do better this year!! *ish determined*
Now, I don't quite feel like writing an original piece, and I don't want to start a whole big multi-chap fanfic either, especially with 6 more chapters to go in Smile for the Camera and about 5 or so chapters to go in Family Reunion and I still have 4ish chapters left in Other Side of the Mirror. And since my whole 'resolution' tanked (I still have these WIPs floating around months after ROTF came out - though finishing those other ones wasn't bad...) I figure that I'll do an 'unofficial' Nanowrimo, finish these WIPs and make up the rest of the 50 000 word count in oneshots or whatnot.
Finishing my TF fanthingies is for November. Cleaning them up is for December. Original fiction is for next year =) | | comments: Leave a comment |
| "Becoming" is finally FINISHED!!!!!!!! Now I must work on finishing Family Reunion and Smile for the Camera. I'm not sure whether or not it's a good thing that I'm waiting for TF2 to come out on DVD/Blu-Ray instead of watching it in theatres, as all my Movie writings are, consequently, still based on 07/post-07. I shall try not to spoil myself.
Also in 07Movieverse, we have a Miles-Sam friendship/angst fic and a fic centred on the idea that when it rained on Cybertron, it poured acid. Both these guys are adopted bunnies.
And in G1verse, we have dark Bumblebee fic (adopted), a Blaster, Soundwave, and humans fic (adopted), and a Sparkplug-centric fic (a wild bunny that sneaked in through the back door). We'll see how this goes.

And now the Masterpiece bunnies are biting hard. The themes from 30_weapons seem to entice them so.

| Masterpiece 'verse may not be finished yet. "Sam" and "Mikaela" are demanding more attention.

| Got over the block! Chapter 10 of Becoming is finished, outline has been retinkered, three or four more chapters to go. The bunny is still obsessed with speculating with Soundwave's moral alignment.
Will hopefully be done with this guy before TF2! (and then will have to finish all the other ones...)

| Writer's block. Sorry folks, but I won't be completing all the fics I've wanted to complete by the time the new Transformers movie is out ;_; Hopefully I'll have one or two finished. "Becoming" has been moving along nicely up until this point, but me and the in-progress fics need some separation time.
Hopefully the new movie won't make the bunnies explode.

| ...Finished writing chapter 9, will post it up soon, wrote a tiny-tiny tidbit for chapter 10. Autobot!Lennox and Autobot!Epps were supposed to have a major secondary subplot within this mess, but have been shunted aside to a minor subplot, due to the fact that the story is becoming fascinated with answering (or, more precisely, not answering) the question: what the hell is going on in Soundwave's head?
I have plans for the ending, but I don't know when I can implement them.

| Well, things have taken a rather interesting twist. Will have to tweak the outline now. This thing was supposed to span about 10 chapters. We're now on chapter 8, and still have a lot of content (AND ANGST! WE CAN'T FORGET THE ANGST NOW, CAN WE?) to cover.

| Well, I had a nice set of events all planned out for "Becoming," except now I'll have to tweak some of them. Why, you may ask? Because Sam has decided that he's not going to get his identity back without a fight and A WHOLE BUNCH OF ANGST. SERIOUSLY. MORE ANGST THAN I HAD ORIGINALLY PLANNED FOR, AND THAT'S SAYING SOMETHING.
I guess the reason why the Sam!Muse is refusing to get along with the story outline is because Jetstorm/Silverbolt's reprogramming and subsequent rescue in Beast Machines has kinda haunted me, and the scene between him and Blackarachnia wants to be projected in some way in the scene between Sam and Mikaela and later between Sam and Bumblebee.

| I will finish the following fics BEFORE the 2009 movie arrives (to make room for the next wave of bunnies).
Becoming - outline is finished, five more chapters to go.
Smile for the Camera - outline is finished, six more chapters to go.
Family Reunion - outline still needs to be done, tentatively five more chapters to go.
Honour the Canon - this one is almost finished; the final chapter is being such a PAIN.
Welcome to Crackverse - ALMOST there with this one. Maybe one or two more chapters...
So that's about...eighteen chapters to do before June 26.

| A lot of people seem to have their own little AU in Transformers, their "personal canon." I have several personal canons, the strangest of which seems to incorporate the fact that humans = beast warriors. Yes, in some way, shape, or form, humans become technorganic shapeshifting beings.

| I have a strange little bunny staring up at me.
It's a very strange bunny, and as a story, it probably will not be popular, seeing as it is a TFG1 bunny but is heavily human-centric. It's sort of a semi-crossover with Kelley Armstrong's "Otherworld" series, whereby our intrepid (and supernatural) "human" characters must protect the 'bots from...something without them knowing their true nature. It's a vague bunny so far. We'll see where he wants to go.
Don't know whether or not I'll write him yet. I'll just let him roam around my journal for awhile, and we'll see if he's still interested in becoming a full-fledged story =) | | comments: Leave a comment |
| ...through motivational speaking!
I am a rather obsessed fan of Transformers. I love writing fanfics for the fandom. I love the Cybertronians and our own Earthlings, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE their interactions. Consequently, most of my fics will have, at the very least, one of each, and/or will focus on their interactions.
But I must say this to myself.
Little Writer, it's okay. You can let it go.
You love fanfics on the interactions of the third kind, and nothing will change that without your say-so. So why are you so paranoid? It's okay to write fanfics where no humans are involved, or even mentioned. In the same way, it's okay to write a human-centric fanfic story in the TF'verse.
It's okay.
Right. Now, onto that elusive oneshot...

| | I seem to have a soft spot for what TV Tropes calls “The Scrappy.” You know, the characters that most of the fandom hates with the passion of a thousand suns. For example, I actually liked Scrappy in Scooby-Doo. In the Transformers ‘verses, I really, really like the humans (yes, even the token trio from Armada that everyone else would like to forget about. They totally won me over when they gave Starscream that handkerchief thing. Alas, poor handkerchief. They knew thee well). And I’m *gasp* apathetic towards Wheelie (sorry Wheelie; you have fans out there! Just not right here…) In Beast Machines, I like Nightscream (which is kinda odd, since he’s the BM equivalent of Wheelie, having to fend for himself on a hostile planet and all, except substituting angst for the rhyming. ¬_¬ Yah, sorry Wheelie, Nightscream wins). | | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
